El rechazo hace visible la esperanza.
Exige que surjan y florezcan las condiciones para la esperanza.
Al significar intencionadamente posibilidades de desviación, el rechazo habla de historias y subjetividades negadas.
La esperanza reside en pequeños espacios, en astillas y en grietas.
Está formada -a menudo bajo presión- por deseos y ambiciones y puede negociar historias, culturas, esferas políticas y condiciones planetarias.
Actuando como un recurso que permite a lxs individuos y a las comunidades persistir, la esperanza puede ofrecer visiones de prosperidad, seguridad y redención a aquellos que la buscan o la necesitan.
Aunque parezcan divergentes, cuando se unen, la esperanza y el rechazo pueden conspirar. Pueden refutar la lógica de los órdenes existentes y funcionar como lentes críticas para sostener valores, enfoques y acciones colectivas.

Rendering Refusal, ofrece interpretaciones parciales de las realidades sociopolíticas que no se ajustan al statu quo, explora lo que puede surgir al decir no. En un intento de ampliar las perspectivas de los conflictos políticos de larga duración y de dar forma a los futuros a partir de la contradicción y la diferencia, las obras de la exposición sugieren la responsabilidad de la pluralidad y materializan lo que a menudo se silencia, se borra o se convierte en fugitivo.
Trabajando con estrategias de incumplimiento y negación, lxs artistas presentan pequeños actos de rebelión doméstica, crean antimonumentos a los mitos, imaginan el fracaso como progreso y maniobran entre sistemas de gobierno. Presentando estrategias, propuestas e intervenciones, Rendering Refusal aborda momentos de metamorfosis, intimidad y vulnerabilidad, buscando la transformación, la regeneración y el cambio.
